International Yoga Day

"A Healthy mind in a healthy body" is an age old adage. In line with this, we at Sri Sarvajna Public School not only encourage children to be active in sports, but also teach them other ancient practices like Yoga and meditation.
Surya Namaskara, one of the most common yoga-based exercises, is taught to our students who are above 8 years of age. This exercise helps develop the mind and body, and since this is a non-sectarian practice, almost everyone can practice it.
Surya Namaskara consists of 12 asanas, which when practiced regularly, can help students in their growing years achieve good physical growth, alertness, memory development and emotional control.
Holistic development of children has always our philosophy at Sri Sarvajna Public School, and to this end, our students have been learning yoga asanas that help in their overall development. As part of the International Yoga Day Celebration, students of our school shot videos of the asanas they have been practising, and it gives us immense pleasure to share this with you.
